I am pleased on behalf of the members of the National Front for the Salvation of Libya to congratulate you on your election to the office of the vice president the United States of America.

We very much appreciate and respect you for your stand as a Senator and humanitarian in defending human rights in Libya, and for your courage in telling Colonel Muammar Gaddafi that his tyrant regime and his oppression against the Libyan people will no longer be tolerated.

We hope that the new administration led by President-Elect Barack Obama and yourself will continue your legacy of endorsing human rights in Libya, and that you will continue exposing the human rights violations by the tyrant regime led by colonel Gaddafi, and to pressure him to stop such violations and free all political prisoners, and allow for free speech.

We urge you to continue your support of the legitimate aspirations of the Libyan people to be free of this tyrant regime and to establish constitutional-based democracy, free elections, and government that respects human rights. We wish you success.
